Dublin Ventilation Services
Fresh Air for Every Dublin Home
From Malahide to Tallaght and Clontarf to Lucan — HVS designs, installs, and services MHRV and extract ventilation systems across all of Dublin.
Built for Dublin's Mix of Homes
Dublin has one of the most diverse housing stocks in the country — from period terraces in the city centre to large A-rated estates in Fingal and Dún Laoghaire. We know how to design for each type, and we cover the entire county.A-Rated New Builds
The wave of A-rated new homes across Fingal, South Dublin, and Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown requires a certified MHRV system to meet Part F. We design, install, and commission to specification.
Victorian & Edwardian Retrofits
Older Dublin terraces in Ranelagh, Rathmines, Phibsborough, and Drumcondra often suffer from persistent damp and condensation. A properly designed DCV or MHRV system resolves these at source.
Apartments & Urban Properties
Dublin apartments face unique ventilation challenges — limited ceiling void access, noise constraints, and shared structures. We have specific solutions designed for urban multi-unit buildings.

Why HVS in Dublin
The Right Ventilation for the Capital
Dublin homes vary widely in age, construction type, and airtightness. We account for all of it.
Part F Compliance Documentation
Our designs include all the calculation sheets, commissioning records, and airflow test certificates required by Dublin City Council and the county councils for building sign-off.
BER Upgrade Support
Adding ventilation is a key step in any BER upgrade. We work alongside your architect or energy assessor to ensure the ventilation component is correctly designed and installed.
Heat Pump Compatible
Heat pumps — increasingly common in Dublin new builds — work most efficiently in well-ventilated, airtight homes. MHRV is the natural partner to a heat pump installation.
Quiet Operation
Dublin properties are often close together. We use acoustic attenuators and balanced rigid ductwork to ensure your system is silent — even in semi-detached or terraced homes.
SEAI Grant Eligible Work
Some ventilation upgrades are eligible for SEAI home energy grants. We can advise on what qualifies and help you get the paperwork in order for your application.
Same-Day Survey Availability
Based in Dublin, we can often survey your property within one to two days of your first call — one of the fastest turnarounds in the market.
FAQs
Dublin FAQs
Common questions from Dublin homeowners about ventilation systems.
Do I need ventilation in my Dublin new build?
Yes. Since the 2019 update to TGD Part F, all new builds in Ireland — including Dublin — must include a compliant mechanical ventilation system. MHRV is the most common solution for airtight new builds, and it must be designed by a competent person and commissioned on completion.
My older Dublin terrace has severe condensation — can you help?
Absolutely. Persistent condensation and black mould in older Dublin properties (Rathmines, Ranelagh, Phibsborough, etc.) is almost always a ventilation problem. A DCV system removes excess moisture at source — typically from bathrooms and kitchens — and can make a dramatic difference within weeks of installation.
I live in a Dublin apartment. Can you install ventilation?
Yes, though apartment installations require careful planning due to access constraints and building management rules. We have experience working in managed developments across Dublin and can advise on the most practical approach for your unit.
How long does a typical Dublin installation take?
A standard three-bedroom semi-detached home typically takes one full day for a DCV system, or one to two days for a full MHRV installation. We plan the run routes in advance to keep disruption to a minimum.
